Biography

Dr. Kotaro Sakashita is actively conducting research on the therapeutic potential of Muse cells (Multilineage-differentiating Stress-Enduring cells) in spinal cord injury (SCI). His current work investigates the therapeutic time window during which Muse cell administration is most effective in promoting neurological recovery. In 2024, Dr. Sakashita presented a study titled "Reverse-translational research on the therapeutic time window of Muse cell treatment" at the 39th Annual Research Meeting of the Japanese Orthopaedic Association, highlighting his novel approach to timing-based regenerative intervention.
