Lecturer and Ward Director
Professional Information
Biography
Dr. Yoshihisa Yamada is a recognized cardiologist in Japan, specializing in ischemic heart disease, heart failure, cardiomyopathies, and cardiac nuclear medicine. His research is particularly focused on stem cell therapies for cardiac diseases, with an emphasis on Muse cells (Multilineage differentiating stress-enduring cells). He has investigated the therapeutic potential of Muse cells in improving cardiac function following acute myocardial infarction (AMI). His work has demonstrated promising results in both human and animal models. Dr. Yamada's research contributes significantly to the development of innovative therapies for cardiovascular diseases, particularly through the exploration of Muse cell-based regenerative approaches. His work helps lay the foundation for future clinical applications in cardiology.
